As we all go through this extremely trying and unnerving period, our thoughts are with everyone affected by the current global pandemic. In response to client demand during the Covid-19 crisis, we are introducing an unprecedented initiative. For the duration of this crisis, we are offering homeowners and clients the ability to purchase large capacity commercial refrigeration models from the commercial side of our business (generally not available to the public) through our website to assist with storage needs.
Families—especially those sheltering with immunocompromised, at risk elderly members, and even a full-house of kids home from college—are searching for any possible way to decrease their exposure at grocery stores. Our commercial arm’s large capacity freezers and refrigerators can vastly reduce the frequency of these supermarket visits—and we decided to take immediate action to offer this solution to our customers and families at large.
With four, large-scale models to choose from ranging from 12 to 19, 23, and 49 cubic feet of capacity—families can increase storage to suit their needs. Depending on size of orders, the 49 unit can hold food from half a dozen to a dozen grocery runs. While kitchen installation is not recommended—commercial-built units generate more noise due to larger motors and components primed for exceptional functionality and performance—garages and basements are ideally suited to house these freezer and refrigerator units. To make things as seamless as possible, orders are processed within one to two days and delivery can be expected within three to 10 business days depending on location. To proceed with the utmost caution for all persons involved, we are delivering units curbside only, fully packaged, and on a wooden pallet. We are also offering customers the option to purchase the units from local authorized dealers that can provide delivery and installation. In addition to supporting families during this period in time—which is very important to our brand as a family-owned business—our commercial arm, True Refrigeration, recently provided much-needed monetary support to the James Beard Foundation Food and Beverage Industry Relief Fund. The fund was created to provide critical financial assistance to small independent bars and restaurants impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic—businesses essential to the fabric of cities and towns across America and the U.S. economy as a whole. Donations to the relief fund will be split evenly between the 12 regions defined by the James Beard Awards.
