What is special about the Long Island and New York markets?

The Long Island & New York markets are a constantly changing environment! Its clients are often looking for the newest and greatest technology in regards to their home appliances. One of the largest selling features of a house is the kitchen and the quality of the appliances in them. It is very common to see more than just the traditional set of appliances (stove/fridge/dishwasher) in them, as well. An often seen appliance in Long Island/ NY homes is undercounter refrigeration for extra storage or an entirely separate wet bar with wine refrigeration and beverage centers!

We know the beer dispenser has been live many times in your store, what is your favorite beer to put in it?

Great question! While we love having the Sam Adam’s seasonal beers, I think everyone at the store loves having the Yuengling on tap.

How do you all support the design community?

We host various functions at out store. IDS, NARI, NKBA have all been to our showroom where we hire chefs for the night to cook in our live kitchens. It’s a great opportunity for them to all get together and discuss their industry and it gives us the opportunity share news about ours.

We have also developed a strong “Partner Program” with many of them. The program works to combine the knowledge of both the designer and the appliance specialists to provide a greater experience for their client. We work directly with them and their clients during the entirety of the kitchen project to ensure that everything is ordered and installed properly.

“We think the “ideal customer for the new True units is someone who values the highest quality and functionality offered in the industry.”

As one of the first who gets to display the True full-size refrigerator and True clear ice machine, what customer do you think this appeals most to?

We think the “ideal” customer for the new True units is someone who values the highest quality and functionality offered in the industry. It will be someone who really understands what the ideal kitchen should be. For example, the new True fridge not having an ice maker built inside of it might sound like a negative at first. When you think about it, ice makers take up a lot of space on the inside of the unit, and they are the most common thing to break in a refrigerator. By having your own dedicated undercounter ice maker you not only have a more reliable product but a higher quality and capacity ice production.

What are your customers most concerned about when purchasing from you?

Service, Service Service. We built our company on the principle that the relationship with the customer really only just begins when they agree to do business with you.

The after-sale support is just as, if not more, important than the sale itself. Customers want to know that the products they buy from us are not only of great quality, but if they should have an issue they can always count on us to fix it.

That’s part of why we have our Concierge Service Department that handles the service calls for the client. If they ever have an issue with any of the products they purchase from us we provide them with the most experienced and trusted technicians as fast as possible. There are no 1-800 numbers for them to call and no waiting on hold. We might not be able to prevent their products from ever breaking but we can do a lot in the way of making sure that if it does their experience is as positive and pleasant as possible.

You (and your customers) have been big supporters of True products, Why?

Not only does True create beautiful and reliable products, but they value the same philosophy on after-sale support as we do. If we have ever had an issue with any of their products they have always (and will continue to) proactively resolve the issues in a way most convenient for our customer.
