With this Crisp Sea Salt Chocolate recipe, we can be both decadent and health conscious. The dark chocolate is proven to be high in antioxidants, which has all kinds of health benefits. The seeds add dietary fiber and Omega 3 rich fatty acids. The problem here will be trying to stop eating this stuff as the chocolate will also slightly boost your dopamine and serotonin levels.
Crisp Sea Salt Chocolate + Heart Healthy Seeds
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Cocoa Crisp rice cereal
- 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate (56%-72%)
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
- 1/2 cup toasted mixed seeds (pepitas, hemp seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds)
- Sea salt
Instruction:
- Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper then pour in the cereal
- In the top of the double boiler, melt the chocolate and coconut oil
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal. Tap the pan as the chocolate settles into the crisp rice cereal. Do this for a minute or two until the chocolate is settled thoroughly
- Top with the toasted seeds
- Place in the refrigerator until firm
- Cut into chunks, but keep well chilled before serving
- Eat this as a decadent relatively healthy snack or serve as a garnish on one of your favorite desserts
