Pretty in Pink

Think pink! The Barbiecore trend—inspired by the soon-to-be-released Barbie movie— has half the population celebrating the signature hue and playful rosy aesthetic. From furnishings to fashion and more, it’s a Barbie world this summer.

While we’d love to say we released a custom, antique pink finish in preparation for the blockbuster movie, our sophisticated version of the trend that’s taking the world by storm these days was already in the queue just waiting to be unveiled.

As a staple in designers’ color arsenal, pink adds whimsy, a certain softness that helps infuse a room with calm, and complements a variety of different colors and palettes. It’s also easily grounded with natural materials, balanced out with white, and/or given a vibrant push with brighter colors. Aside from the obvious perks, the color also adds visual warmth to any space and recalls some of nature’s delicate floral offerings.

For quieter, more serene palettes, adding an accent color such as antique pink into your kitchen can serve to add a touch of merriment, foster a positive mindset, and inspire creativity—a must for a great chef. Love it or hate it, we’re tickled pink with this summer’s custom pink-tinted hue.

For those of you located in NYC, you can see it in person at True’s A&D Building Showroom (Suite 603).
