In the last two years, society as a whole has acknowledged the need for a more hospitality-like atmosphere at home—where everything you need is at your fingertips. From implementing Undercounter Wine Cabinets and Refrigerators in the bedroom, to Undercounter Refrigerator Drawers in make-up stations in the bathroom—repurposed to keep cold creams in perfect condition—to fully-outfitted outdoor (and indoor) bars, our variously sized refrigeration units meet a demand for convenience. The fact that everything we put forth is made in America, is just icing on the cake.
To cater to our customers’ need for these more adaptable, multipurpose spaces, we consistently work on launching new hues to our Build Your True collection of finish and hardware options with an eye towards colors that work well with a variety of different design palettes. We currently offer a choice of 60 unique color combinations that include colors such as Matte White, Antique White, Juniper, Ultra Matte Black, and Stainless Steel with six complementing hardware options. We understand color is very personal which is why we strive so hard to offer finishes that offer a large dose of versatility. While one homeowner might have a preconceived, set notion that our Ultra Matte Black or Gloss Black finishes will only suffice to add a dramatic element to a space—which is certainly the case in many instances—these finishes can also serve as neutrals or add a quiet pop of color. As designer Sharon Gunther said of including our 36” Refrigerator and Clear Ice Machine—both outfitted in our Ultra Matte Black finish—in a client’s kitchen: “It’s not expected but it’s classic.” And she added “it’s still beautiful and timeless—and it’s not everyone’s kitchen.” We agree.
The same goes with our more vibrant hues: Saffron, Cobalt, and Emerald. In a Pittsburgh pool house—designed by Meghan McDermott—it’s our 30” Glass Door Beverage Column in Emerald that balances the space. “It was the perfect way to break up all the black and white,” the designer explained. And it does—perfectly. Color, even the more vivid hues, can blend in given the right palette. A fact demonstrated in the Desert Modern-style ambiance created through the use of three of our eye-catching units in Saffron complemented by dark woods and turquoise. Color is what you make of it, and at True Residential, we’re all about providing flexibility in design.
