It’s no secret shades of green are dominating interior design these days. One in particular, sage, is obviously a favorite—we just launched our own new Sage finish in February of this year. The gray/green hue not only imbues rooms with a calming, light and airy vibe but it serves to bring the outdoors in. Our love for the soothing, biophilic-inspired color knows no bounds, but recently, we’ve realized just how well colors spanning the spectrum complement sage as well.
From natural woods to deep blues, pinks, whites, and all varieties of metal, Sage is a happy partner in almost any design scheme. See below for some of our favorite products to complement our Sage units and/or decorate an entire room in the soothing hue!
Conceived by designer Sascha Lakic and edited by Roche Bobois, the Bubble Sofa—which debuted during Paris Design Week 2021—proves layering greens on greens and complementing the hue with shades of pink not only adds a bit of summer whimsy but offers instant charm.
Meanwhile at the Yo2 booth at Salone del Mobile 2022—a renowned global furniture fair held annually in Milan—Marcantonio’s Funny and Fancy Objects rug presents the perfect mix of humor plus clever design. It also happens to go great with one of our 36” Glass Door Refrigerators. Spot any of the same items in our fridge?
Also at Salone 2022, Cecilie Manz’s En Series collaboration with Japanese company Maruni yielded, in part, this simple yet gorgeous table and chair. Promoting togetherness, the designer’s use of subtle tones showcases the upbeat impact more soft, muted tones can have. Our 30” Beverage Column in Sage similarly imparts a sense of togetherness—libations are meant to be shared—and it also proves how well our Sage finish can work with unexpected colors and finishes.
From the most saturated cobalt blue as showcased in the True Blue Floor Lamp by Cathrine Raben Davidsen to the sculptural Modulation Mirror by Axel Chay in mirror polished aluminum—both available through The Future Perfect—our sage finish offers the perfect enrichment.
