LA-based Interior designer and Founder and CEO of international organization Circaphiles, Genevieve Trousdale is known for designing luxurious interiors that span the globe. From American ski chalets, to a Parisian flat, a Royal palace, and projects in continents including Europe and the Middle East, Trousdale has applied her deft design hand all over the world. So it was no surprise to learn Trousdale was the designer when we came across a gem of a bar featuring our 15” Wine Cabinet that stopped us in our tracks.
The bar, part of a larger Hollywood Hills home renovation Trousdale is working on, boasts leather-wrapped doors that can be easily closed when not in use. In the interior of the compact yet gorgeous bar, the designer created a jewel box—outfitting it with Star Tile’s mesmerizing Kaiyo tiles in a striking emerald hue. Channeled glass shelves allow for the display of stemware while not taking away from the design. The cabinetry, shown in an alluring walnut wood veneer with a clear coat of varnish, makes everything pop. The perfect complement? Our 15” Wine Cabinet of course. Not only does it accomodate 23 bottles despite its small footprint, but the unit features our True Precision Control for ease of use.
“I originally reached out to Snyder Diamond in search of an ice machine that made Clear Ice. True Residential was the only one that did it. We didn’t end up having enough room to include it, but we loved the design of the wine cabinet,” says Trousdale. “It was the perfect size and had just the right amount of bottle capacity. I also appreciate that it is made in America.” While Trousdale ended up choosing the Wine Cabinet in stainless steel, she loved the wide array of finish options we provide. “True Residential is very versatile and really understands the need for designers to have multiple color options,” she explains. “I go to Snyder Diamond for everything as I have a relationship with the owner, and they always give me sound advice,” explains Trousdale of her introduction to our products. And as for the “dream clients” as the designer describes them? “The wife is very collaborative and loves the unique ideas I bring to the table. Some clients want standard issue, but she likes the unexpected, and that came true in the bar area.” We agree.
