Is there anything better than melding incredible design, the Hamptons, and a worthy charity? Considering we’re at the height of summer where the days are long and seaside retreats beckon, we reckon not. This summer we were selected to participate by three leading designers in the fourth edition of Holiday House Hamptons, presented by HC&G (Hamptons Cottages and Gardens), and founded by 22-year veteran breast cancer survivor, Iris Dankner. As you can guess, all gala and general admission ticket sales to the designer show house aptly benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Now that is something we can get behind.
Each year, a festive Opening Night White Party takes place, kicking off the summer festivities by letting the design and the location shine. The showhouse venue? A brand-new, modern barn-style estate in Watermill, NY that was built by All Seasons General Contracting and listed by Sotheby’s International Realty. Over 20 talented designers and firms transformed each room in the newly-built 12,500-square-foot Hamptons estate, creating gorgeous, compelling spaces loosely inspired by various holiday themes.
We donated a few different appliances, including our 24” Undercounter Panel Ready Refrigerator to interior designer Melanie Roy who proceeded to epitomize the “Beach Glam” look in the estate’s solarium, creating a modern take on nautical. To highlight the Hamptons’ natural beauty, Roy brought in natural stone elements, organic sculptures, rock crystal sconces and decorative pieces, and a surfboard with a mirrored face by California-based Katy Helen to serve as artwork. To fully enjoy the space, Roy also set up one chic bar, outfitting our Undercounter Refrigerator in a custom panel and hardware to match the adjacent drawers. The designer perfectly showcased how versatile our panel ready units can be, because as we wrote, custom is the new black.

On the lower level of the estate, we were especially pleased to offer our 24” Dual Zone Wine Cabinet to Iris Danker for her Wellness Room and Gym. One of the most serene rooms in the house, Dankner applied a deft hand to the space, outfitting one vignette in an eye-catching Botanical Ganja wallpaper from Brett Designs. In the main area, a neutral palette infused with shades of gray and white creates a calming presence while a sculpture by Anthony Roberts adds interest and plays off the rug by Doris Leslie Blau. Lighting by Tala LED and artwork from Christopher Martin Gallery adds to the calming vibe while incredibly beautiful gym equipment from Nohrd enhances rather than distracts from the overall aesthetic. With a room like this, Dankner did well to add our Wine Cabinet—there is nothing more relaxing after a great workout than cozying up in a beautiful room with a great bottle of wine. And with our dual zone wine storage system, indulgers can choose from any of the 45 perfectly preserved bottles stored.

Last but not least, we contributed our 24” Undercounter Refrigerator, 15” Clear Ice Machine, and 24” Dual Zone Wine Cabinet to designer Elizabeth Dow who had the Breakfast Room at this year’s show house. One of the most gorgeous rooms in the home, Dow let the light from the outdoors pour in, creating a fresh, clean aesthetic with white cabinetry, striking yet streamlined black hardware, wood paneling framing some of the windows, and lighting by Apparatus. The effect was breathtaking and fit in with Dow’s idea of creating a room designed to capture the “magical light when night becomes day.” A round rug from Sacco Carpet highlights the Saarinen oval dining table complemented by Rope Chairs from Cliff Young—perfect to take in the verdant backyard views. To take advantage of the beautiful gathering space and incredible outdoor scenery, Dow created a custom Butler’s Pantry with our units. Perfectly compact yet highly efficient, guests are treated to the idea of exactly how well our units can function in any home and any space. Cold beverages, perfectly preserved wine, and the ideal ice for afternoon (or morning) cocktails all in one easy-to-reach space? Yes, please.
