There is always cause to celebrate great design in our world. And when it equals the unveiling of a much-anticipated project by our brand ambassador, interior designer Vanessa Deleon, there is little else to do but celebrate the event in the luxurious style she is known for.

On Tuesday, July 23rd we co-hosted a Summer Soirée at Vanessa’s newly built, four-story Edgewater, NJ home to properly showcase the compelling manner in which she integrated our appliances throughout her home. To kick off the midsummer celebration, we invited a fantastic group of local designers, influencers, media, and movers and shakers to join us on a scenic ferry ride from New York to her New Jersey town courtesy of NY Waterway. Upon entering, guests were greeted by the melodic tunes of local jazz duo, Acute Inflections, and to a grand vista of Vanessa’s sprawling living area and kitchen—outfitted in our appliances of course. Taking center stage was The True 42 in a striking matte black finish and copper hardware. To add a bit of depth, drama, and uniformity, Deleon had the cabinets custom made in the same colorway. Across the kitchen, a gorgeous wet bar featuring an antique glass mirrored backsplash displayed our 24” Dual Zone Wine Cabinet.

To make full use of the kitchen and as a special culinary treat, Vanessa’s husband, chef Bobby Bournias, created a decadent menu of passed hors d’oeuvres that included crowd pleasers such as short rib & polenta, seared scallops over celery root mashed potatoes, and mini apple pies. Libations included Rosé, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc, refreshing Spiked Seltzers, and Schlafly beer in honor or our home state (Schlafly is Missouri’s largest locally owned, independent craft brewery). After some welcome cocktails and mingling, Vanessa led everyone on a home tour, ending it on her fully-decked-out rooftop bar and pool area (replete with a mermaid flitting around inside the pool). While guests enjoyed the views of the New York City skyline, they were able to see our indoor/outdoor Refrigerator Drawers in situ, along with our Clear Ice Machine, and 30” Dual Zone Wine Columns—this time outfitted in stainless steel with a brass finish to complement the design of the bar.

As the sun set and the night wound down, guests were treated to goodie bags and custom cake pops in the form of our True 42 (in matte black and copper to match Vanessa’s kitchen’s color palette) before being whisked away in a limo back to the city.

One of the greatest moments of the night was witnessing just how much Vanessa and her husband relate to our designs. A true power couple, Vanessa loves that our luxury refrigeration offers style in droves, and as a chef and restaurateur, Bobby prizes the exceptional functionality and commercial DNA of our offerings. They are the perfect example of how beautifully these two worlds combine: Style + Functionality at its finest.
